Joe Burns - Episode 6 “My Nudgee Hero”

Joe Burns is the only Nudgee College Old Boy to walk out onto the MCG for the Boxing Day Test and score a Century. He is a dual international representing both Australia and Italy in cricket.
Joe’s journey is one of resilience, ambition, and heart. In this episode, he reflects on his proudest moments in cricket, his aspirations for the growth of Italian cricket, and how he navigated personal loss along the way.

Christine Atchison - Episode 5 “My Nudgee Hero”

For over two decades, past Nudgee College parent Christine Atchison has been a quiet force behind the scenes of Nudgee College sport. As our Sports Injury Coordinator and first aid specialist, she has been the steady hand and calm voice that has helped our athletes through breaks, bruises and big wins. In this episode Christine shares what it is really like to be the first responder on the field, what it was like treating James O’Connor who went on to become a future star, and how she feels about shaping the culture of care at Nudgee College.

Dr Mark Loane AM is a prolific Australian, whose legacy spans so many lives. Once a Wallabies Captain, now an incredible surgeon, and also a Member of the Order of Australia recipient.
